How a Vedic rashifal is read
Each planet’s current sign is counted as a house from your Moon sign (the 1st). The classical texts — Phaladeepika, Brihat Samhita — state which houses are favourable for each planet in transit: the Moon in the 1st, 3rd, 6th, 7th, 10th and 11th; the Sun in the 3rd, 6th, 10th and 11th; Jupiter in the 2nd, 5th, 7th, 9th and 11th; Saturn only in the 3rd, 6th and 11th; and so on. A day’s rashifal is the sum of those placements, with the fast-moving Moon deciding the tone and the slow planets the season.
Because it is a rule applied to measured positions, it is the same for everyone sharing a Moon sign. Your own chart — Lagna, natal houses, running dasha — is what makes a reading personal, and that is what the AI astrologer adds when you ask about today.

What is a rashifal?
Rashifal (राशिफल) is the Hindi word for a horoscope by rashi — the Moon sign in Vedic astrology. A daily rashifal reads where the planets stand today counted from each of the twelve Moon signs, and applies the classical gochara (transit) results to those placements.
Why is this by Moon sign and not Sun sign?
Jyotish reads the day from the Moon, which governs the mind and moves through a sign every two to three days — fast enough to describe a day. Western horoscopes use the Sun sign. The two are often different signs for the same person; a free kundli shows your Moon sign (Chandra rashi).
How is today's rashifal calculated here?
From the ephemeris, at sunrise, for all nine planets, using the same sidereal Lahiri engine as our birth charts. Each planet's house from every Moon sign is looked up in the classical gochara tables of Phaladeepika and Brihat Samhita. Nothing is generated by an AI, so the same sky always gives the same reading and it can be checked against any printed panchang.
What is chandra bala?
The strength of the day for a Moon sign, from where today's Moon is counted from it. The texts call the 1st, 3rd, 6th, 7th, 10th and 11th houses favourable and the rest unfavourable; the 8th (chandrashtama) is the most sensitive. The list on this page shows which signs have favourable chandra bala today.
What is Sade Sati?
The roughly seven-and-a-half-year period when Saturn transits the 12th, 1st and 2nd houses from your Moon sign, in three phases of about two and a half years each. Each sign's page states whether it is running today and in which phase. Saturn in the 4th or 8th from the Moon sign is the shorter "dhaiya".
Can this replace a personal reading?
